How Can I Help?

We can change our cultural response and the way we react to situations of domestic violence
and sexual assaults.

You may never see domestic or sexual violence in progress, but you will see and hear attitudes
and behaviors that degrade others and promote violence. Be a role model and speak out.

By educating ourselves and others, we help create more awareness around the issue of
domestic violence and sexual assault. More awareness leads more open conversations. An
increase in conversation helps shed the taboo around domestic and sexual violence.

We can change the way we view and interact with victims. It is NOT their fault. We can be there
to reaffirm this message and offer our support.

Disclosing abuse can be scary. When someone tells you about the abuse they’ve experienced,
the best thing you can do is believe, support, and listen.
